Lane Bryant Outlet
From LoveToKnow Plussize
For plus size women looking for the latest styles at discounted prices, shopping at a Lane Bryant outlet may be a great way to find the perfect dress…for less.
Lane Bryant Outlet History
Lane Bryant stores have been serving full-figured women for decades. By offering well-tailored garments at affordable prices, the retailer has been able to sell a wide variety of clothing and accessories to the curvy consumer. In July 2006, the Lane Bryant company opened its first outlet store in Philadelphia’s Franklin Mills. Seventy-five outlets were opened that same month.
What You’ll Find in Outlets
If you think that you’ll only find last season’s castoffs and unwanted merchandise at the outlet stores, think again. Many customers have reported being pleasantly surprised at the excellent, current selection of apparel at the outlets, as well as the open feel of the stores and the satisfactory customer service. You’ll find many of the same items you’ll find in regular Lane Bryant locations, including:
- Dresses
- Tops
- Skirts
- Slacks
- Shorts
- Career wear
- Swimwear
- Intimates
- Accessories
- Shoes
Typically, expect to spend 25 percent to 50 percent less than you would in Lane Bryant stores, but Lane Bryant coupons are not accepted at the outlets. With the exception of the coupon policy, shopping at an outlet will be very similar to shopping at aa regular stores.
Why Shop Outlets
If you’ve never shopped at outlet stores or outlet malls, you might be shocked to discover that you can buy designer wear at considerably cheaper prices than the original retail price. The designs found at outlets are not unattractive, unwanted pieces of clothing; many outfits you’ll see there were simply shipped to outlets because there were too many of them or room had to be made for new merchandise. The way seasons move in fashion, even the most sought after top will eventually move from the front of the store to the sale rack, within a matter of weeks. After that, it’s possible for that same top to make its way to an outlet, at a fraction of its original price.
Outlet Locations
These are just some of the current Lane Bryant listings for outlet stores. You can always check your local listings to see if there’s an outlet near you or check the Lane Bryant website for a list of stores. Some places you’ll find Lane Bryant outlets include:

The outlets are spread all over the country, making it convenient for the Lane Bryant customer to find. If you don’t live in the same city as an outlet mall, chances are there’s one within driving distance. Many of the outlet stores are part of larger outlet malls, where designer brands are often sold at less expensive prices. Reasons for this include: irregular goods, slightly damaged merchandise or last season’s fashions. Still, you might be surprised at the great deals you can find at outlet stores, with minimum effort.
Style, not Just Size
Lane Bryant has long maintained that its clothing isn’t just about fitting the plus size consumer, but also about being fashionable. Simply providing full figured clothing isn’t enough if no one wants to wear it. To that end, the retailer has always made sure it offers the latest styles at affordable prices. Shopping at a Lane Bryant outlet store could turn out to be the best bargain experience you’ve ever had.

Hi. Thanks for letting us know about your experience, and sorry you had a rude sales associate. While we're not affiliated with Lane Bryant, you can sometimes find coupons online, BUT they cannot always be used at the outlets. You'll have to read the fine print. Some coupons can be used for online orders, for instance. Others can be used at regular Lane Bryant stores, but not the outlets, and this is probably because outlets already have discounted merchandise. DealTaker is one site that carries a variety of coupons, but make sure you read the fine print so that you use the coupon correctly.
