Profiling Not Just for CSI Anymore

After you have determined you want to share your plus-size with someone (hopefully for the right reasons), you should now think about writing your profile. Most of the online sites request you write one and it is better to write it first before joining any site and writing it off the top of your head. After all, you are looking to meet a quality person or two, so why not invest a little time in promoting yourself and bringing forth your best qualities in a positive light!

The first thing a good profile highlights is not how you are, but who you are in terms of what kind of plus-size person you are, what you enjoy, and what your hopes and aspirations are in life.

Perhaps you are a morning person who thinks the best hours of the day are between dawn and noon. Alternatively, you are just the opposite of the early morning riser, you are someone who cannot conceive that life begins until after sunset.  Are you bubbly and eternally optimistic or are you really just a sweet ‘Eey’ looking for your ‘Ore’?

The idea is to present yourself positively as you are, not as you want to be.

Before you actually write your profile, sit down with a cup of coffee, and separate a sheet of paper into three columns. Give each column a heading:

Key Personality Points
Aspirations or Goals
Primary Keys to a Successful Relationship with You

Under each column, list three to five one to three word points. Only after you have done this are you ready to begin putting things together in a coherent narrative.

Your first step in putting together a personality profile is this honest assessment.

Tomorrow I will talk about eye-catching opening statements to help make your profile stand out!
