Search for Plus-Size Love

Today begins a series of articles about searching for Mr. Right. Times and techniques have changed and whether you are trying on-line dating, the personal ads in the paper, or just perusing the Craig’s List ads, this series will be for you.

With two months to go before the season of coupled-ness – the holidays, New Year’s Eve, and Valentine’s Days - many of us are gearing up (or gritting our teeth) to take a crack at finding our soulmate.

Lest you wonder at my qualifications for this series, I met my husband through a personal ad I placed, and have been the writer, monitor of, and first hurdle to be overcome with four of my close friends and family members and their personal ads. What I know about the process could be a great book. I am giving my knowledge to you free through this series in hopes it helps you. LOL!

My priority is to help keep you safe and sane if you decide to go this route. In addition to helpful tips, I will also review many of the most popular (and some that are not) dating sites for you. I will not endorse any site, but try to give you enough information to assist you in your decision.

One of the plus-size controversies over these dating sites is that many people feel that they are unnecessary and that they set aside plus-size women as different and out of the bounds of normal society.
I personally find nothing wrong with the concept and frankly feel society itself sets plus-size people outside their rigid boundaries of normal. With that being said, it is all right to go find another sandbox to play in and people who will like us – all of us – for ourselves.
