I bought a pair of pj's from your Nashville Store back in the summer and I absolutely love them. The brand name was Starialle and they were plus size. They are the best and most comfortable pj's I have ever bought and worn, even my husband loves them......Could you tell me if that is a brand that you normally carry. Thanks for any help you may offer. Carolyn Houston
-- Contributed by: Carolyn HoustonPeggy, it's great to hear you've found a place that offers such great service! Unfortunately we can't help you locate that particular item, since we only write about the companies. If you haven't already, check out the Jones New York Web site to see if it's available there. I also recommend contacting Dress Barn Customer Service for more information about the products you're searching for. Good luck!
-- Contributed by: TsharmaThe ladies at the Dress Barn located in Commerce, Ga are so helpful and friendly. They go out of their way helping customers. I really, really enjoy shopping there. Now, it would be very helpful if you all could stock and carry winter white 2 piece separate made by Jones of New York. I got the black 10/28/09 and would like the winter white. Item # for the black are 2693788 & 2642397 Skirt & Jacket. Thank you so much in advance for your time.

-- Contributed by: Del SandeenI have been in the city of Alexandria, VA on business for the past two months. Unfortunately, my suitcases would only hold so much clothing but then fortunately, this was the perfect opportunity for me to purchase new clothing. I found the best Dress Barn location in the city of Alexandria on 3501 Jefferson Davis Higway (Store 00443). In the five weeks I been in the city, I must have frequented that store at least once a week. The associates have been so helpful from my initial visit, starting with an associate by the name of Valerie. I must have bought at least three hundred dollars worth of clothes on that first visit. Valerie (I don't know her last name) was very friendly and presented some stylish selections. As I returned over the weeks, I seemed to always visit on Valerie's day off but I've encountered other friendly and helpful associates. Jackie and Carlene were at my beck and call to assist in my purchases. They both have recommended selections that I normally would not have looked at. But I bought them and was pleasantly complemented over-and-over again on my style of attire from co-workers and people on the street. I am very sincere in saying that my visit to Alexandria has been very pleasant even moreso because of the professionalism displayed by the sales personnel. Working in a new environment, it is very important that you present yourself well and your style of dress must be professional. The aforementioned associates, as well as others in this particular location, have been astounding! I've bought more clothes in this store to own stock (not exactly) - but I have contributed my share of dollars and thoroughly enjoyed the shopping experiences. My hats go off to the sales associates of this Dress Barn location (Valerie, Jackie, and Carlene). Dress Barn is my little shopping secret!! Thank you ladies!

I would like to name the Dress Barn as a place for ladies to go for any occasion. Please contact me,thanks Janie
-- Contributed by: Enter your name hereThanks, Shopping Maven, for your comment. I guess the hip length sweaters and jackets would be more flattering for petite plus sizes, but I understand your frustration. Trends come and go and this just might be the year of the hip-length tops. Maybe next season will yield longer lengths.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenIronically, this year all the GREAT sweaters and jackets at DBW are cut to hit right at the hip! You'd think the buyers would realize that often the longer jacket is more flattering on Plus-size woman. (Especially in "career" styles -- showing your dierre is not necessarily desireable in a work setting.) Otherwise, love the pants/trousers this year. Great fit, nice colors, good fabrics.

I don't know what their policy is in relation to petite length clothing. However, you can try other retailers who offer plus sized petite clothing. Our article on Plus Size Petite Clothing lists quite a few resources as well as helpful advice.
