Hi. Thanks for letting us know about your experience, and sorry you had a rude sales associate. While we're not affiliated with Lane Bryant, you can sometimes find coupons online, BUT they cannot always be used at the outlets. You'll have to read the fine print. Some coupons can be used for online orders, for instance. Others can be used at regular Lane Bryant stores, but not the outlets, and this is probably because outlets already have discounted merchandise. DealTaker is one site that carries a variety of coupons, but make sure you read the fine print so that you use the coupon correctly.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenLast visit did not know about coupons for outlet store and was informed very rudely get coupons online for outlet. Have tried to get coupons and they are very difficult to find. Not sure if I have them or not.
-- Contributed by: Enter your name hereHi Jean. First of all, we're very sorry to hear that you had this experience. I know that you said you dealt with a manager, but you can always contact the corporate offices if need be to report an unsatisfactory experience like this.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenOn July 3rd, 2009 I had a problem with a return at the Lane Bryant Outlet in Bessemer, AL. I was returning some items my daughter had purchased for my birthday in February 2009. The items were too large and I had not been able to visit the outlet store until then. (I live about 45 minutes away) I was in the store, and had chosen the items I was going to swap for and was ready to check out. Let me say here that I had actually more items that what I was returning, therefore I would not have received a refund, but would have had to paid additional money for my choices. When the cashier (who was actually the manager) started going thru my return, instead of politely referring me to their return policy of 90 days, she started snatching things, spouting off, throwing the articles to the side while trying to locate them on the receipt. It was very obvious she was frustrated about something. After saying several times, that she was doing me a favor by taking the return, and that she was not supposed to issue a refund for panties, or items over 90 days. She finally got me so flustered and embarrassed, I told her not to bother with the return or the sale, to just put my too large items into my original bag and I would give them to someone who could wear them....she threw the clothes back in the bag, and thrust it at me...needless to say, I was embarrassed and will NEVER set foot in Lane Bryant again. She should not be in the management field if this is the way she conducts business. After I got outside the store I realized she had not returned my original sales receipt to me, therefore I had to go back into the store and request it. Needless to say I was not happy. I will tell my friends not to shop at this store... Let me add that I have shopped at Lane Bryant for many years and have never encountered this type problem...but one bad apple can spoil the entire basket. She is not an asset to Lane Bryant.
Sincerely, Jean S
-- Contributed by: JeanHi Melissa. Thanks so much for that explanation. Hopefully it helps out anyone else in that same situation.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenI've worked at an LBO, and Annette, I think the issue here is that you didn't pay with cash or credit - you used a coupon. The store can not refund a coupon with cash or a store credit equivalent. People cheat that way a lot so that they can 1. extend the expiration date or 2. use the coupon for more than it applied to. :) Hope that helps.
-- Contributed by: MelissaHi Annette, this is tough for me to really address without seeing the terms on your receipt or the type of top you purchased. I can only give you general guidelines that may have applied to your unfortunate experience. Many stores won't accept returns of special occasion wear or any items that are on final clearance. Does your receipt specify how long you have to return an item? Outlets sometimes have different return policies than the regular store due to the type of merchandise they stock. Sorry to hear about your experience. If you adhered to all of the return guidelines outlined on your receipt, you can always try to speak to a manager.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenI received a $15 coupon in the mail from Lane Bryant Outlet. I went to Lane Bryant Outlet and purchased a top for under $15.00. I went home, tried on the top and found out that it was too big. I returned to Lane Bryant Outlet two weeks later with the top in new condition, with the tags still attached, and with my original receipt. When I tried to exchange the top that was too big for a smaller one, that was also of a lesser price, the store clerk would not give me a store credit from my original purchase. This is unbelievable! I just left the top that I purchased, that was too big, at the store and left! Needless to say, I am appalled at the service I received.
-- Contributed by: Annette J. DavisHi Nicole, the best way to get an answer to your question is to check the store policy. Most stores offer refunds within a specified time period and with a receipt on unworn/unwashed goods. However, for special occasion or clearance items, sometimes they don't offer refunds. Either check the receipt or ask someone in the store before you purchase.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenHi Saroq, Sorry to hear about your experience. You might want to try contacting someone at Lane Bryant to tell them about this. I can't be sure but prices may have gone up well before the sale was planned but unless prices went back down immediately after the sale, there's no way to know that prices were hiked just because of the sale.

-- Contributed by: Nicole MinorI went to shop at my local Lane Bryant Outlet store for their buy one get one 50% off everything in the store. Was I shocked to see that they had raised the prices on everything for this sale. It was cheaper before this sale! I do not think this is a very good policy for a store advertising for a sale. Made me lose a little bit of respect for them and makes me wonder if this is the place I want to shop.
-- Contributed by: SarogHi Odette. If you're interested in doing business with any of the plus size retailers, you'd have to contact them directly. The Lane Bryant website is here. There is a link for "contact." I don't know how they handle requests like this so you'll need to speak to someone there. Good luck!
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenI am interested in doing business with you all, I am from a small island name san andres and our difficulty is to find plus size clothes. I am interested in buying outlet plus size clothes. I will be waiting on your answer.
-- Contributed by: ODETTE FORBESHi Rebecca. Thanks for commenting. Have you talked to the management at this outlet? Or have you tried contacting the corporate Lane Bryant office? Maybe if you bring it to their attention, they'll be able to address it.
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenI can't speak for the other outlets, but the one in Pigeon Forge, TN is stocked primarily with last season's cast-offs, clothes that never made it to regular LB stores, and lots of seconds. Since I shop the regular LB store, I was shocked to see my last year's wardrobe (and the year before) coming back again in the outlet as "new arrivals" for this season, a year later. Their sizes are also all over the map with obvious and glaring discrepancies. Maybe not all the outlets are this bad, but the one in TN is (and I've been observing it regularly for the last 4 years).
-- Contributed by: RebeccaThis isn't petty at all, Lori, because you're right--there are plenty of people who can't or don't wear pierced earrings. Have you contacted Lane Bryant about this? I hope you don't feel confined to only shopping there for your earrings, however, if you can't find what you're looking for. Try a couple of online vendors who specialize in clip ons like:
-- Contributed by: Del SandeenThis may seem like a petty request to you. However, not everyone is able to wear pierced earrings...I would like to request that you stock up on some which are clips. I remember shopping at Lane Bryants over 30 years ago and you always had some clipped earrings. Thank you for reading my humble request. Frame a gal who likes to accessorize. Warmly, Lori
