Hi Kelly, I'm sorry to hear about your daughter's problem. I take it she can't wear hoop earrings, which come in a variety of sizes and usually have longer bars that go into the earring holes? If not, it sounds as if her ears may need a break from time to time so that they don't get infected. If she wears earrings during the day, they should be removed at night as well as treated with antibacterial solution. Unfortunately, I don't know of any retailers who specialize in this market because most of the shops who cater to young girls will probably only carry the small earrings.

MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER HAS VERY FAT EARLOBES, SHE IS HAVING A PROBLEM WITH POST EARRINGS BEING TO TIGHT, I AM JUST LOOKING FOR CUTE KID EARRINGS THAT SHE CAN WEAR WITHOUT THE BACKS DIGGING IN TO HER EAR. CAN YOU HELP ME FIND SOMELACE TO BUY THESE. SHE CAN'T WEAR WIRES AND THINGS YET BECAUSE HER EARS DON'T HEAL UP FROM THE BACKS DIGGING IN TO HER EARS.

I'm a jewelry artist, started making large ring sizes for ladies since my own grand mother wears size 13. All my rings (cameos, insects, animals, filigree, etc) are available up to size 15. I just purchased the equipment to make it up to size 22 which I am expecting to be offering by March 2008. My prices are quite fair & my designs are unique. Another really wonderful place to look for jewelry is at Etsy.com which is a marketplace for handcrafted goods.... Because you deal directly with the artists who make the jewelry, and many pieces are made to order, most of them are more than happy to adjust sizing and many will create custom pieces-all you have to do is ask....
